Divemaster & Marine Ecology Internship
**Our Divemaster program is fully booked until April 2020. Please send us an e-mail to check the upcoming intakes**
Each year Papua Explorers Dive Resort takes interns, who have the opportunity to spend between two up to 6 months here with us, completing their PADI Divemaster course and improving their marine ecology skills, whilst contributing to conservation work in the heart of the Coral Triangle. Our programs are designed to integrate the highest standard of dive training in a PADI 5* Dive Centre with current conservation projects.
This dive master course will develop all the skills necessary for furthering a career in professional diving. This special opportunity is for those passionate about diving and marine life, who are looking to make a greater commitment to improving their scuba diving skills, and gaining experience working in marine conservation projects within the Raja Ampat region.
With just a few positions on offer each year, this is an exciting opportunity for the right people to fulfil a rewarding, yet demanding role, whilst immersing themselves in the waters of Raja Ampat – the most marine bio-diverse place on earth!
Our Divemaster Programs:
2 months Divemaster course (accelerated program) that focuses on the Divemaster training with a basic introduction to our current conservation projects (only if the progress in the Divemaster training allows).

Upon successful completion of the PADI Divemaster course, an individual may be offered a position as intern and become directly involved in our PADI 5* Dive Centre by assisting the dive center managers, with hands on involvement in our conservation projects as for example coral restoration, ecological monitoring, and capacity building within the local community. “To have completed my Dive Master Internship here was a truly unique experience in absolute paradise. Not only was I able to grow and develop my dive knowledge and skills but I became a confident diver guided and supported by the most professional team. However, it didn’t end here I was also able to take part in species identification and conservation, not to mention I was able to dive on some of the most pristine and diverse coral reef systems in the world! All desired aspects were covered and education was never limited, it extended far beyond a written text book and I believe the true value of all this knowledge gained came from the many smiles, laughs and interactions with the beautiful Papuan people. It was a lesson learnt from the heart of Raja Ampat. Thankyou Papua Explorers!” Jess Nietz, PADI Divemaster & Marine Ecology Intern
